Bali, the Island of the Gods, is a destination that has long captivated travelers with its stunning beaches, rich culture, and vibrant atmosphere. I recently spent a week in Bali, and today I’ll share my 7-day itinerary, including where I stayed, my expenses, and what I would do differently. Whether you’re planning your first trip to Bali or returning for another adventure, this blog will provide insights to help you make the most of your time!
## Day 1: Arrival in Bali
### Where I Stayed:
I arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport and headed straight to my accommodation at The Legian Seminyak. It was luxurious and perfectly located along the beach, which made my first day in Bali absolutely magical.
What I Spent:
- Accommodation: $250/night (paid via [this link](https://hotellook.tp.st/iM5yW5iX) to get the best deals)
- Dinner: $20
Tip:
Renting a scooter is a great way to explore Bali! Consider [booking through BikesBooking](https://bikesbooking.tp.st/lzXnwZrC) for convenience.
Day 2: Ubud Exploration
I took a scenic drive to Ubud, known for its lush landscapes and unique art scene.
Activities:
- Visit the Monkey Forest ($5)
- Art Market for some local handicrafts.
What I Spent:
- Meals: $30
- Activities: $15
Accommodation:
I checked into Alaya Resort Ubud, providing stunning views and an amazing spa.
Day 3: Tanah Lot & Surfing Day
Headed to Tanah Lot Temple to catch the sunset, a breathtaking sight.
Surfing:
I couldn’t resist an afternoon of surfing in Canggu. [Check out Viator for activities](https://tiqets.tp.st/h8P2EGQI).
What I Spent:
- Breakfast: $15
- Temple Entrance: $2
- Surfing Lessons: $50
Dinner:
Experiencing local warungs, I spent about $15.
Day 4: Culture & Relaxation
A day dedicated to relaxation and cultural experiences.
Activities:
- Traditional Balinese Cooking Class: A must-do! ($40)
- Spa Day at my resort, which cost about $70.
What I Spent:
- Lunch: $10
Accommodations:
Same as the previous night, as I loved the tranquility of Alaya Resort Ubud.
Day 5: Nusa Penida Day Trip
Nusa Penida is stunning and worth the day trip!
Activities:
I booked a tour that covered all the best spots like Kelingking Beach and Angel’s Billabong. [Book via Klook for the best experiences](https://kiwi.tp.st/lWpAG68d).
What I Spent:
- Tour Cost: $60
- Meals: $25
Note:
Make sure to check ferry timings. I booked my transfers through [GetTransfer](https://gettransfer.tp.st/7ugUWF39).
Day 6: Beach Day & Departure Preparation
Back to the beach! I spent the day in Seminyak soaking up the sun at Potato Head Beach Club.
What I Spent:
- Sunbeds: $10
- Drinks: $25
- Lunch: $20
Accommodation:
Returned to The Legian Seminyak, bidding farewell to the beautiful views.
Day 7: Last-Minute Shopping & Departure
I spent my last day shopping for souvenirs and enjoying the local cuisine one last time.
What I Spent:
- Shopping: $50
- Last Meal: $30
Total Estimated Spending for 7 Days: $1,600
This includes accommodations, food, activities, and transportation. Costs can vary based on personal preferences, but this is a reasonable budget for a mid-range experience.
What I’d Do Differently:
1. Stay Longer in Ubud: I loved the cultural aspect and found it incredibly relaxing.
2. More Surf Lessons: I wish I had taken additional surf lessons as it was a thrilling experience.
3. Less Rushed Itinerary: Potentially fewer day trips for more exploration of each area.
